On June 22, 2024, members and friends of the New York Circle of Translators gathered for our much-anticipated annual picnic in Central Park. This year, we had the pleasure of hosting the event at a new location—near Heckscher Playground—where we were able to secure several picnic tables, making for a comfortable and relaxed setting.
Despite a few surprise showers, we stayed dry and cozy under the shelter of a large tree. Around 30 attendees joined us, including four current board members, many former board members, and several new faces. Everyone enjoyed chatting and connecting while savoring the delicious picnic boxes.
It was a wonderful afternoon filled with conversation, laughter, and shared experiences from across the translation & interpretation community. We want to extend a big thank you to all who attended, and we hope to see you back for next year’s picnic!
Current NYCT board members Randal Gernaat, Laura Rodríguez O’Dwyer, Liz Herron-Sweet, and Anthony Alencar.
